Evaluacion de Inmigracion en Espanol
Victoria Valdez is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) trained to provide in-depth psychological evaluations and reports used to determine whether individuals will be able to remain lawfully in the United States. The evaluations will ask about a client's medical, cultural, family, and mental health history and other. Additionally, there will be questions about the client's issues specific to the client's immigration case. It may also be necessary to speak with others familiar with the client's case to provide additional relevant information. Evidence-based evaluation tools will be used during the course of the assessment. All evaluation sessions are confidential.
Other important info:
While a psychological evaluation can greatly strengthen the case of a client, the therapist can not make any guarantees regarding the outcome of the case. A report can vary from 10 to 30 + pages depending on a client's case circumstances. The typical time frame for a completed evaluation and report can be between 14 and 25 business days, depending on the need and case circumstances. Expedited services are available for an additional cost. Clients can come to the office, or evaluations can be conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video chat platform. Sessions are available in English and Spanish. All others will require an interpreter provided by the client.
What to Expect
Before Your 1st Scheduled Evaluation Session:
Before your clinical evaluation interview, we ask that you complete a short background questionnaire. You will be required to complete the following documents: informed consent of services, a release of information to communicate with your legal representative regarding details of your case, and a down payment of $250 to hold your appointment time.
Session 1: The immigration evaluations will include several diagnostic tests and a clinical interview of 2 and 4 hours. This evaluation may be done at once or over two days within 10 business days. (In person or virtual)
Session 2: This is a possible follow-up with another session that also consists of additional diagnostic tests if needed and or further clinical interview; it typically lasts approximately 1 hour. This session is based on the circumstances of the client's issues and may not be necessary for all clients.
Evaluation Report Results from the clinical evaluation are integrated into the report, and a final report is provided to the attorney and the client. We prefer to schedule your sessions within the same week to reduce delays in your final evaluation. Final evaluations are completed within a 2-3 week period. Delays with the final evaluation reports can be affected by the complexity of the case and/or final payment completion; the client will be notified if such will be the case.
